Windsor, Colorado: Self Care Decisions names Bonnie Offit MD as Chief Health Innovation Officer, effective May 1, 2021.
Dr. Offit joins our company from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she was the physician lead in their Office of Digital Health. Dr. Offit brings her experience in pediatrics and digital health initiatives to Self Care Decisions to bolster our innovations and growth. Highlights include:
- extending our triage symptom checker to provide diagnoses
- enhancing our offerings for Epic’s Showroom (and other patient portals)
- supporting chatbot content delivery and configuration
- integrating symptom check encounters with telemedicine, call centers and EMRs
“I have followed Self Care Decisions for quite some time and am thrilled to be part of the team,” states Offit. “From the moment people need medical care, technology can make their healthcare journeys a little easier. They can start with an evidence-based symptom checker. Self Care Decisions’ tool helps them choose the best, safe level of care and then connects them to the right facilities. My prior work at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia lends itself well to joining the amazing team at Self Care Decisions. I am eager to add my passion and experience wherever they need me.”
“Our work with Children’s Hospital clients connected us with Bonnie. We instantly bonded over helping parents and, of course, their children,” says Sue Riffel, CEO at Self Care Decisions. “Dr. Offit’s experiences are a perfect fit as we move our product paths forward. She’s familiar with Dr. Schmitt and his content, so she can hit the ground running.”
