Our symptom checker app targets modern browsers but extends support back to IE 11. Our app uses javascript polyfills to support IE 11. IE 11 support costs ~100kb of javascript and limits css design options. For the year leading up to the release of the app, only 5% of the previous product’s (Web Widget) traffic is from IE and IE 11 makes up 98% of that traffic.
